The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist provides anesthesia services for surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patients of S! t. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The CRNA is an integral part of the MDA/CRNA Anesthesia Care Team. CRNA'S involvement in providing anesthesia services includes pre-anesthesia preparation and evaluation, anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence and post anesthesia care. The CRNA also provides clinical support services, administrative services and educational support outside the operating room. (KD)
Job Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required.
Graduate of a Nurse Anesthetists Program is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous CRNA experience preferred.
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Certification by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) is required.
Recertification every two years by The Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if ! primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure Non-Compac! t state.
Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Must possess a current Advanced Practice Nurse License issued by the Tennessee State Board of Nursing.
