Uber is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our US & Canada Earner Operations team. If you love setting a vision, managing complex projects and partners, pushing initiatives forward to deliver strategically meaningful results, and solving problems from both 30,000 feet as well as deep in the details, this is the role for you!


On the Earner Ops team, we grow our driver base to meet business needs, improving the experience for drivers who use our platform, and streamlining processes, so drivers are able to easily access and earn on the Uber Platform.
The ideal candidate will excel at solving complex problems, managing multiple work streams and engaging with stakeholders so as to deliver on key business goals that unlock sustainable growth and improve real world outcomes for drivers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead initiatives/programs to grow our driver base and improve the driver experience
  • Lead driver-related reporting, metrics monitoring, and city-/cohort- level insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to share driver insights, inform planning/priorities, and co-build solutions that benefit our drivers and our business
  • Build, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting and analysis on key business challenges
  • Identify and implement improvements to operational processes
  • Present models, findings, and insights to senior management to aid decision making

Examples of things you could work on:
  • Build analytical models to understand driver behavior
  • Develop focused strategies for different types of earners, such as new drivers, tenured drivers, churned drivers, etc. and bring them to life
  • Advocate for and deploy budgets & monitor/track spend to make recommendations related to the design and implementation of new driver incentives
  • Lead driver focus groups to collect insights to advise product improvements
  • Run weekly reporting to C-Suite leadership on the state of our driver base and areas of opportunity
  • Experiment with new incentives or communications to drivers in partnership with other teams to drive growth on our platform
  • Deeply understand the individual driver P&L - monitor costs for drivers and work with Business Development to secure partnerships to target these costs
  • Collaborate with Product and Compliance teams to streamline (or automate) driver sign-up processes
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to unlock and improve platform access for different gigs (i.e., UberX, Eats, etc.
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 years work experience
  • A strong problem-solver with experience using data to drive decisions, with excellent Excel /data management skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of work experience
  • SQL skills strongly preferred
  • Experience in strategy, operations, and program management
  • Past experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Some high-growth operations, tech, or startup experience is strongly preferred.
  • A passion for Uber’s business and, most meaningfully, earners on its platform
  • Outstanding communication and project management skills, including a history of cross-functional teamwork and leading projects that deliver results
  • Experience taking initiative in a constantly changing work environment; resilience to overcome challenges and deliver during fluid conditions
  • Self-motivated individual that works well independently and possesses strong organization and time management skills

Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $98,000 per year - $109,000 per year.

For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $98,000 per year - $109,000 per year.
