The APN Manager has operational authority and responsibility for administrative, clinical and human resource activities in conjunction with the designated Advanced Practice Providers (NPs, CRNAs, CNMs). Their responsibilities include: fiscal accountability, maintaining quality and regulatory standards, patient and staff satisfaction, managing and developing teams, and serving as an administrative link between the APN Team, the division and Department, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The APN Team Manager will practice in an advanced role, coordinating the delivery of high quality, family centered and developmentally appropriate patient care within the APN service line.

The NICU at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt a Level 3c tertiary center with a total of 98 beds. Neonatal APN Services include transport services and coverage at several Vanderbilt-run Affiliate Nurseries (VrANs) across the region.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Master’s degree in nursing with a Nurse Practitioner specialty tract and board certification. A minimum of five years of experience as an NP is required and at least two years of leadership experience in an advanced practice role is strongly preferred. License Requirements: Current Tennessee Registered Nurse License and APRN License with a Certificate of Fitness to prescribe controlled substances; DEA certification; This is a full-time position. Shifts may vary, including days/some weekends/some holidays.
