Description: Holston Valley Medical Center is looking of CRNA right now, this occupation will be placed in Tennessee. The CRNA works to provide anesthesia services in an anesthesia team setting under the supervision of anesthesiologists. This includes a complete scope of practice including pre-operative assessment, anesthe! sia delivery in the OR, labor and delivery, and emergency airway support through out the hospital. It includes anesthesia delivery for emergency cases as well as a variety of all surgical specialties. Open heart anesthesia is an optional setting that is performed by a select team of CRNA’s that is chosen at the discretion of the department director. The CRNA will also provide post-operative visit documentation of any complications related to anesthesia care. The CRNA will work to provide and assist with ancillary services as needed through out the hospital (ie. IV starts). The CRNA will participate with various educational and process improvement initiatives as required by the hospital. The CRNA will document all care completely and insure proper documentation for billing purposes. The CRNA will cover “on call†anesthesia services during the week, on weekends and holidays as required by the department. Successful completion of an Anesthesia Program from an accredited ! school and successful completion of the national certification! exam offer by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. CRNA License and recertification every two years by the NBCRNA.

CRNA License and recertification every two years by the NBCRNA. BLS is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
