Dispatcher
Our client, KL Harring Transportation, has a great career opportunity for an experienced Dispatcher, in beautifully scenic Bethel, PA! The ideal candidate for this full-time role will be highly motivated and organized in order to successfully coordinate the movements of drivers and equipment for our fleet of temperature-controlled reefer trailers.

This position will work out of the Operations Center in Bethel, PA, a 30,000 square foot temperature-controlled warehouse with dry vans, reefers and a modern fleet of Kenworth tractors.
The Dispatcher is also responsible for:
- Supporting our U.S. customer base
- Planning and management of shipments in a just in time environment
- Utilize computers, telephones, and provide accurate documentation to drivers for assignments, and provide supporting office operations accurate records
- Maintaining positive relations with drivers and staff
- Direct interaction with customers, drivers, 3rd party security monitoring firms, maintenance facilities, and others
- Creating reports, analyzing information, and making recommendations for continuous improvement
- Monitoring driver adherence to requirements, and administer disciplinary action when required
- Supporting additional areas beyond primary job responsibilities as needed
Required Skills
Experience and Skills Required:
- Prior experience in a similar role, A MUST
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in transportation industry
- Familiar with software systems including the TMW (Operations) and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- General knowledge of highway systems
- Have a culture of continuous improvement
- Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple projects at once
- Familiar with all federal, state and local rules and regulations
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well as a team
The Dispatcher hours are 5 ½ days per week. Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. And every other Saturday from 5am – 9am or 10am. Rotating on-call 24 hours daily, including weekends, and holidays.
Salary is commensurate with experience level.
