We are seeking SQL Server Database Administrator, who will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our SQL Server database environments. Your primary focus will be to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our databases to meet the needs of our organization and clients. You will work closely with the IT team, developers, and stakeholders to support various application systems that rely on SQL Server databases.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server database instances and related components.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries for enhanced system performance.
- Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies for data protection and business continuity.
- Enforce data security and access controls to safeguard sensitive information.
- Analyze database growth patterns and plan for future capacity requirements.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as data purging and index rebuilding.
- Investigate and resolve database-related issues in collaboration with the development team.
- Develop and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure rapid system recovery in case of failures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date database documentation, including data dictionaries and schemas.
- Implement and maintain database security best practices, including user access controls and encryption.
- Collaborate with the development and IT teams to understand application requirements and provide technical support.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in database administration.
- Continuously improve and optimize database systems for efficiency and reliability
Basic Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven work experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with SQL Server high availability solutions such as failover clustering and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
- Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
- Experience in database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Proficiency in T-SQL for writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Knowledge of database monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address database-related incidents.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $88,398.16 - $106,458.01 per year
