The internship

You will be working closely with the Global Buyer for Paper Labels in order to run multiple tenders by end of the year:

  • Connect with Operating Companies to gather information and data
  • Build analysis file for tender
  • Analyze tender results and build business cases
  • Participate to the negotiation
  • Communicate results internally and externally
  • Edit legal contracts

If you like to get responsibility than this is the place to be! Next to being part of the full E2E sourcing processes, you will be able to contribute to key sustainability projects like increasing recycled content of packaging alongside in leading some sourcing initiatives.

The department

You will be part of the Paper Packaging team within HEINEKEN Global Procurement. It is a dynamic team, which consists of 4 people overlooking and being responsible for sourcing all Paper packaging for more than 70+ operating countries.

It is an interesting market, which you will be part of as Paper Packaging is THE packaging solution.

The growing consumer consciousness and shifting consumer preference for sustainable packaging, along with the stringent regulations imposed by several environmental protection authorities on plastic use, are the major factors expected to drive the paper packaging market.



The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 28th of August
  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based at Schiphol
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 gross pm based on fulltime
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The start of your internship

  • Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

  • Proficient at PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal in English
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to deal with time pressure & stress
  • Ownership mindset
  • Team player and gets energy in working with different nationalities/cultures

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  • You are enrolled at an educational institution.
    • In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    • In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  • Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
