Staff Product Owner

At the Tijuana IT Center of Excellence, you will form part of one of many Scrum Teams that focus on delivering software solutions to multiple Business Partners across Thermo Fisher’s divisions worldwide.
Location/Division: Mexico - Corporate Offices
We are looking to hire individuals with experience in software development and integration, and who can collaborate with us in the next wave of technical challenges using the latest cloud-based, big-data, and rich analytics tool sets.
What will you do?
Help our Business Partners achieve their goals by being the liaison between your Scrum Team and Stakeholders.
Understand Stakeholder’s needs, translate them to Product Backlog Items.
Maintain a clear priority of the Backlog, help your Team plan deliverables, and negotiate Roadmaps and Releases.
Support your Team as a Servant Leader.
Collaborate and influence without formal authority.
Plan, implement, and finalize projects according to scope, schedule and budget.
Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver with quality.
Experience
7+ years of experience as Product Owner or project manager of all phases of technical projects.
5+ years of experience in Software Development.
Agile Mindset.
Scrum Framework.
Scaled Agile Framework.
Knowledge of best practices in Software Development like TDD, DDD, CI/CD, Swarming.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent technical fields.
Product Owner Certification is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong understanding and applied experience with Agile development principles.
Ability to multi-task in a very fast- paced environment between multiple projects, as well as provide post-project support.
Good leadership skills, prioritization abilities, ownership, and accountability.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
The ability to plan valuable increments in vertical slices.
A high proficiency level in English.
